I think I learned some things! There are fun facts and trivia, ones that I shared immediately with my boyfriend while reading, so that's probably a good sign of an engaging book. There were some things that I wanted more details on since everything here just just skimming, but, that's just the style of the book and if I really want to know more I can investigate on my own.

I only read this because it's an MCBA nominee, and it's not really a one star book. It's a one star book FOR ME. It combined my least favorite parts of reading nonfiction with a graphic novel - which is also not my favorite medium, but if done well I can enjoy it. I struggled through this and ended up skimming the parts on mice and rats etc.

Funny, colorful, and really informative! The only animal whose domestication I've ever learned about is (of course) the dog, so I really enjoyed this one!

This is very much in the style of the History Comics series--where most of the information is presented in caption boxes accompanied with illustrations with some speech bubbles with comical asides. None of the information was particularly new to me, but 5th-8th grade audience may learn some new facts of interest even as some of the references/words will go over their heads.
