what would a tales of the city book be without a cult and at least one death.
i feel like my main critique of these books continues here as I feel like my favorite characters get plat that is either so mundane and irrelevant that it doesn’t do them justice or they don’t exist at all.
Miss Mary Ann Singleton takes up so much of the book and she’s fine I guess but I wish that 1) the books were more character driven and didn’t feel the need to rely on situations like these to happen and 2) that the characters driving the story were not Mary Ann goddamn Singleton.
