I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the second installment of The Titans of Terranea and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the first book very much and couldn’t wait to dive into the second one. I love Natasha Pierce’s way of world building and character building. Our main FMC, Harbor, is going through her life and navigating all these hardships. However, during this time, we see her grow into a strong woman. You really see her transformation in the narration. The book starts off by continuing where book one left off. I suppose you don’t need to brush up on book one, but it’s still good to read to get the real storyline of everything. It’ll make more sense. The first story left us on a cliffhanger, and guess what? The second does as well. Let me tell you, my jaw dropped, though. That ending was just something else. We will just have to wait for book three to see what happens next. I feel like there was just no turning back to what happened. I think we are all just waiting for the HEA.

I have to say that I appreciate that you put a “where we left off” in the book. I wish more authors would do that when their books are series that leave you on a cliffhanger.

So for me, where book one was a slow burn and a tease book two brought all the heat!!!! I mean, it has it all. All different combination of partners and it was hot! I had to re-read some chapters. But seriously Natasha, when Harbor sat on Kane’s lap and Talon did his thing. I was screaming!!!!

OK, so for the storyline, we still don’t know who killed Bethany. there’s so many unanswered questions. I am very weary about Hudson, Harbor’s father and Silas’ father are very sus to me. And Isabella’s story has me scratching my head because I still haven’t put two and two together.

This storyline has me all twisted, but one thing is for sure … I still despise Silas!!!!!!!!

Bring me book 3!!! I need to know what is happening to Harbor!!!

This series has its hooks in me and I need to know how it ends!
Is the writing the best I’ve never read, no, but the story and the characters gave me completely invested in what happens next.
There’s mystery and intrigue, there’s spice and sweetness and the magical/supernatural elements just add to the overall feel.
I’m eagerly awaiting the next book.

The Illusions of Innocence is book 2 of the Titans of Terranea series. I am loving the slow burn and the growing group. Book 2 is darker than book 1, expecting 3 to continue this trend. Another cliffhanger.

Natasha gets me every time with her books! The endings always leaving me craving the next book and wanting the answers to all the questions! I love all of the characters so much well except one but I think we’re all in the same boat there. I can’t wait to see what is next!

It started well but then slowed down. I got a little bit bored in between, but then everything suddenly became interesting. The last chapter threw me off. I didn't know what happened until it happened, lol. There was a massive cliffhanger 😭😭. Anyway, it was a good book. You have to read the warnings before reading it.

Wow, this book was amazing. This book is only a second in the series and OMG was it packed with information and plot. We are now learning more about Harbor and what she is dealing with now and in the past. The guys Kane and Talon are falling fast and hard to keep Harbor safe. Silas is lost and confused so is lashing out as a bully but I can't wait for the groveling to happen. The CLIFFHANGER OMG! I can’t wait for the next book to see what will happen next.

The prologue threw me off at first, but the the book picks up right where the last one ends. At first I was glad to see that Harbor's father was actually being a father concerned for his daughter. It seemed a little short lived for a woman who nearly died and lost her best friend. But he is detached from her anyway. I was a little surprised by Collette though.

I always wondered why Kane, Talon, and Silas were all so obsessed with Harbor, but after the prologue I have a theory that they are all connected somehow through their mothers' friendship. Is Talon the son of the friend that was lost in the car accident?

The conversations seem a bit awkward sometimes. Thinking about the way I talk to my friends and family...it's so much more casual.

The spice was definitely, definitely spicing, lol. I just wish that there had been a little more substance outside of that. Like you have the bread of the sandwich and you have the meat, but where are the fixins?(Weird analogy I know! Sorry!!

OH MY GOD!!
Book 1's cliffhanger ending was swiftly picked back up at the start of Book 2 and it did not disappoint at all!
The character development is on point - you learn more about Talon, Kane and Silas and the individual relationships with Harbor as well as see the relationship development between them (which I LOVE)
The story flows so beautifully and usually I am not a fan of a slow burn but this is so well done, it absorbs you in and it doesn't matter how slow it may be!
The spice is amazing - a well earned 4.5/5 and the ending... another cliffhanger that literally had me screaming at my kindle!!!
I cannot wait for Book 3!!!
