I really enjoyed this memoir about Rita Marley's life with Bob. She stayed married to him through a lot of trials and outside relationships.

Fascinating memoir told from Rita Marley's perspective. I found Rita's writing style easy to read and very unique. Provided interesting insight into their lives, their music, Jamaica, and the music industry. Would recommend for this insight. After reading, I both respect and greatly dislike Bob Marley and have very conflicting feelings on Rita as well. Brought some new depth to listening to their music, however; for example, I never even noticed the background singers...and it's more enjoyable knowing the context of their life and environment.

I agree with another reader's comment- I originally read this to get more insight on Bob, but came away learning lots about Rita and admiring her. I still love Bob- but I felt sad at times to realize he wasn't everything he could have been to his own family. He was still a VERY good man and wrote music that continues to touch the world through it and through his family which carries on his legacy. Jah love!

Loved reading her story. Love for her husband through so much. Finding herself and loving herself. Helping others. Made sure her family legacy stays alive just beautiful

I am glad I read it after watching the most recent Bob Marley movie but is did t feel it was well edited and was repetitive in some areas and lacking detail or completeness in others.

It was an okay read. The title of the book is a little misleading because I thought it was going to be all about her life with Bob Marley. The book was mediocre and a little all over the place. I felt that the last few chapters after Bob’s death wasn’t necessary.
