Didn’t particularly care for Claire as much but still a good story and nice to check in on other characters.

Feels Like Smutty Alien Barbarian Lifetime Christmas Movie

This story jumps from Georgie and new character Claire's perspective. So no male POV in this short read. As always explicit sex scenes shown throughout, though I did not find them quite as compelling as the last stories. We do get a window into not all relationships being happy and healthy with Claire being in an emotionally abusive dynamic with the male Bek she has been seeing/staying with despite not having resonated. So was interesting to see how this is brought up in a tiny community and see Claire's perspective on her understanding of why she is in this relationship. All of these stories are always very hard HEA so moments of tension feel brief and quickly resolved but was a shift from the typical description of the relationships between the human women and Sa-khui men. This story greatly focuses on all the human women wanting to bring earth traditions like holidays to Not-Hoth and trying to explain and share this with the Sa-khui. There is also lots of discussions of the new babies and childbirth. The pacing felt slightly slower, the laughs less entertaining, and the story overall less engaging. It is a quick read and very much adds to the development of the world but definitely not a story I would ever feel compelled to revisit and my least favorite of the series so far (I am following a reading list from the author's website that incorporates all the series in this universe).

Not my favorite, but it was okay. There were parts I enjoyed and others that I didn't. This one is different because it follows the POV of Georgie's late pregnancy as well as Claire's romance. We don't get any male POV, though, which I missed.

I liked Claire and Ereven. I'm glad Claire got away from Bek. I honestly don't know if I can root for Bek ever because of all the red flags he gave off in this. It's never okay to act like he did to anyone.

At first I was happy to see more of Vektal and Georgie, but by the end I was disappointed with her. I have had two difficult pregnancies, and my husband was my rock throughout them. I cannot believe Georgie would treat Vektal the way she did during the birthing scene. Vektal deserves better.

This was a really good book in the Ice Planet Barbarians series.

I like how we get Claire's pov in this and that she finally finds her true mate. I'm really happy she gets out of the toxic relationship with Bek and gets with the very sweet and caring, Ereven. I really love how patient and loving Ereven is with Claire even when they're not together yet, and how he protects her against Bek's advances.

I'm also happy we got more of Georgie's pov in this one. I love how we see her struggle with her pregnancy and with seeing the other girls giving birth to their babies before her when Georgie was the first one of the girls that resonated and got pregnant. Especially since she was always in so much pain as well in this story. And it was also upsetting what had happened when she did eventually go into labor. But I'm happy everything turned out fine for her by the end of this book.

They are a few rough topics in this one, so I suggest looking up the content/trigger warnings.
