Just when Sofia feels her life can begin again. She thinks justice will be served. Will it...Again a very dark look at the effects a cult can have on an individual as well as the effects within a group. A very personal look at how each person can be brain washed. It's very sadistic and sinister how the author brings this to life in this book. It's both shocking and unbelievable. Yet things like this happen everyday. A very thought provoking read. This is the second part so if you enjoye  this you should check out part 1. To see how it all began.

Het eerste deel (De Sekte) vond ik fantastisch omdat de opbouw van paradijs naar hel zo geleidelijk gaat. Het geeft iets van een beeld hoe een sekte werkt. Vooral dat psychologische aspect vond ik fascinerend. Dat komt in dit tweede deel minder aan bod, maar toch vind ik dit boek minstens zo goed (weer 5 sterren!) omdat het enorm spannend was en ik het nauwelijks weg kon leggen. Heel benieuwd naar deel drie.

Deel één was al behoorlijk naar (in zo'n sekte gaat het er nu eenmaal niet heel gezellig aan toe), maar in deel twee doet de auteur daar nog een schepje bovenop (
Spoilerzoals verkrachtingsscenes waar ik echt de rillingen van kreeg, brr
), voor het geval je snel nachtmerries krijgt!

 Frustrating in parts, things didn't move quite as well as they should have done due to some strange actions or non actions buy some of the characters. Not as good as the first book but will still read the final one to find out what happens.

Ich bin ehrlich nicht ganz sicher was das gerade war aber die zweite Hälfte war eigentlich nur noch verstörend. Ich kann Sofia zwar zu einem gewissen Punkt nachvollziehen aber wieso vertraut sie einem random Typen?
Die erste Hälfte war ganz gut. Ich glaube dass ich sehr wahrscheinlich diese Serie nicht Weiterlese werde obwohl schlimmer kann es eigentlich nicht werden.

Mit Sofia bin ich schon im ersten Band nicht so richtig warm geworden, fand aber das Thema Sekte spannend und wollte natürlich wissen, wie es nach dem Ausstieg weitergeht.
Hmmm, was soll ich sagen, geht mir mit ihr auch nach dem zweiten Band nicht besser. Fand auch wieder einiges unlogisch (ohne Probleme Job in den USA? OK... ). Und älter scheint Sofia auch nicht zu werden, obwohl öfter betont wird, wieviel Zeit vergangen ist.
Dafür war Simon für mich das Highlight in diesem Buch!
