I’m not sure who likes reading about Duane and the crew more, my 6 year old or me. I’m ready for The very, very, Very far north next!

3.5 stars. We enjoyed spending more time with Duane the Polar Bear and his friends. This one was a little sadder and harder than the first one (though still very gentle and lovely).

Oh this book was truly delightful and I don’t often use that word. It is reminiscent of Pooh and friends. It was so sweet, focusing on the struggles and beauty of friendship. We did this as a read aloud and it was fun to do the voices for the characters, as their development/traits were done so well by the author. Each chapter isn’t too long so it was perfect for my family to read at breakfast each morning. We didn’t know there was a first book and you didn’t need to read it for this one. We may need to go back and read it though. Highly recommend!

We loved the first and this one made the whole story even better! The friends go through some changes and growing pains, but their friendship is stronger despite it all.

Just like the first in the series, this is super sweet and fun with some good life lessons on being a decent friend. Nothing scary. My 7 yo and I both loved it!

I love these books. My five year old loves these books. My two year old will put up with these books.

They are so well written and engaging. So much more creative than most of what is written for this age group.
