elegent, interesting, captures the heart.
lost a point because maybe some day, we'll come up with a male character development arc that doesn't rely on a mysterious, quirky, callow girl to "save" him because she also needs "saving from herself"

This is definitely one of my favorite Cosmere books so far! It wasn't a style of fantasy I usually end up drawn to, but I read it for a book club pick and really really loved it! I adored the differences in Painter's and Yumi's worlds (I especially loved Yumi's world in particular - the thought of floating flowers and trees was so cool to imagine) and how their relationship progressed and developed. I also thought the twists and revelations were super cool and unique!

The GraphicAudio audiobook was also phenomenal as usual! You truly can't go wrong doing a read-along style with GAs.

Overall, this was a fantastic book that felt really fresh and unique as a read for me and I'll probably end up rereading it in the future!

Sanderson’s writing makes it easy to fall in love with the story and its characters. I had to pace myself reading this because I knew I would love it and that I didn’t want it to be over too soon.

The character development felt genuine and the story was creative.

I loved this one and the Sunlit man. Though I’m intimidated by the length of his many series, I might consider picking one up! :)
