I think its kind of a shame that this book has a flexible and fun premise but chooses to go in the most cookie cutter direction possible. I don't think this book is bad per say but the description made me think I was getting a high energy, messy space adventure story but its more of a spend time getting to know the characters and check back in with the spaceship towards the end of the chapter. I think the characters being lovable is debatable,  I personally found many of them flat and more trope than person but I'm sure plenty of other reviewers disagree.

Over hyped, but I'm still glad I read it. Character chemistry is weak.

This is a fun read, though it is definitely a bit of a mess at times. The authors spent a big part of the book trying to develop the 2 main romantic relationships, however they still felt rushed.  The book doesn’t really pick up speed until the last 200 pages and everything is happening.

The characters are likeable, but there are too many of them and sometimes I would forget which POV I was reading.

Overall enjoyable, but flawed. If you are looking for a fun space hopping adventure with a better developed romance I’d try Claudia Gray’s Defy the Stars or Starflight by Melissa Landers instead.

That was fun! Definitely loved the found family vibes and snarky banter! The insta-love between Rain and Beckett was a tad much, but I really liked the idea of them. Totally loved Kali and Ian, and I can’t wait to find out more about the Ian/Max/Milla situation. Definitely looking forward to the rest of this series!
