Explores family, duty, and free will through the relationship of a human woman and a Skarr giant. When an arranged marriage threatens to take his beloved away, Hinrivik will do anything to keep her safe, especially if that means convincing her she's his.

A pretty good sequel! The heroine did read a little younger than 25, but she was also quite sheltered so that makes sense. Hinri was an enormous cinnamon roll trapped in the bottom of the boat, lol.

Look, the characters are cute and I find the plot really interesting. But how many times are we going to get "quick! Hide from the corrupt official by climbing in my pants and hugging my oily cock!"?? I need a new plot device please.

Another fluffy romance set in a dark world - this time with a crap ton of purity culture. I liked the friends to lovers plot line, and the conclusions the FMC drew near the end of the book.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: sexual exploitation of side character (off page), emotional abuse (mostly off page)

I had no idea how amazing this little slice of the universe would be, but after being such a fan of the authors other series I shouldn't have been surprised. I absolutely loved this book full of adventure and love and kindness. And an amazing alpha-male with a sweet side and the SPICE.. ugh. It's so so so good. There's are a few authors who write absolutely amazing alien romances and Sara Ivy Hill is one of them. I anxiously await every single one of her books, and this one is no exception.

Apparently the best hiding spot is inside of a giant's trousers, LOL - who knew? This one was better than the first; I suppose since the first book already established the majority of everything, this one could focus on the relationship more. I think I might've just preferred the story/scenario better than the first as well. The whole "I dont want to marry him"/"we're trapped on a boat & i cant swim" thing was more interesting to me.
