"you have to promise me that you will always be more happy than you are sorry"

this started out a bit rough where the tone felt very off, just way more attempting at humorous than succeeding at romantic, but if she didn't have me in bittersweet tears by the end and even redeemed Gregory a bit in my eyes. Violet's story hit me so hard and was such a necessary addition to this series and I'm so happy I lived through it all this year

i’d already read a couple of the 2nd epilogues from this book after having read the books they’re from, but i hadn’t read the majority of them, and the fact that we got a little violet novella was also why i got this book. when he was wicked is and will always be my favourite book in the series but in terms of my favourite 2nd epilogue, gregory’s one was my favourite.
i found it so sweet and funny before it had me crying which i hadn’t expected and it’s made me more excited to read his book. hyacinth’s 2nd epilogue was also really fun and i’m looking forward to reading her book too. her and gareth have such a lovely dynamic and i know i’d enjoy reading it.
i hadn’t expected to love violet and edmund’s dynamic as much as i did, their story was so heartwarming yet also incredibly heartbreaking. his death had me crying again after finally stopping after i finished sobbing reading gregory’s 2nd epilogue. i’d known that edmund was young when he passed, but seeing the age 39 written in front of me really made me pause. i would read a whole book about their courtship. i hope we get a spin-off about young violet meeting and falling in love with edmund (in the past) and her falling in love again in the present with marcus like they did for queen charlotte.

Hola lectores!

Overall, this was a joy to read. I really will miss the Bridgertons. It's the end of an era. (Special shout out to Violet in Bloom!)

Anyway, here are my ratings of each individual story:

Duke and I 2nd Epilogue: 3 It was cute, but kind of meandering and pointless? I did like Daphne being back though. I liked her so much. Also, SIMON~

The Viscount Who... 2nd Epilogue: 4 It was hilarious, and amazing. I liked every bit of it. Anthony and Kate are one of my favorite Bridgerton couples.

An Offer From... 2nd Epilogue: 3.5 It was a solid little cute tale, and surprisingly short.

Romancing Mr.... 2nd Epilogue: 4.5 The one that TRULY felt like a 2nd epilogue, as opposed to an extra short story. It was really great to read it, and it fits really well after reading book #5, in my opinion.

To Sir Phillip... 2nd Epilogue: 4 Surprisingly good for a 1st person experiment. It felt kind of unnecessary to have the 1st person (I consider it an unnecessary handicap when it doesn't really DO anything WITH the tool of 1st person) , but I understand that Quinn wanted to experiment, and the story itself, was cute.

When He Was... 2nd Epilogue: 3.5 It would have been a higher rating but...look. I get why the story did what it did but...I wish it had been braver. No spoilers here.

It's In His Kiss 2nd Epilogue: 3 Cute, but added very little to the story overall. Disappointing, because they're my favorite Bridgerton couple. Oh well, still nice to see them one last time.

On the Way to...2nd Epilogue: 3 Too sad to truly be a favorite, but...it was something I guess? I just think it's too cruel for a 2nd Epilogue, and thus, we know the ending, thus...it's kind of meaningless sorrow.

Violet In Bloom: 5 I cannot express how much I loved this novella. READ IT, OH MY GOD. Even if you don't buy the book, please read this after reading the Bridgerton series. It is SUCH a touching close to the series. Especially for fans of Violet.

I'll miss you Bridgertons! (Until 2016...)
