This was a perfect airplane read. Fast-paced and hooks you in early with its story. The ending is pretty cliche, which is the only place it lost stars for me.
Moderate: Death and Murder
Minor: Child death, Sexual content, Stalking, and Abortion

Meh. I have quit 2 "thrillers" in the last week, and it's partially because publishers keep marketing suspenses as thrillers. This one was no exception; the action kept me interested, but I never felt danger. Even at that pivotal moment, it was more like a jump scare I was expecting. I figured this one out early on, although the author tried to convince me I didn't. It was almost a 3.5, the end, which read like a prologue, cost it that half star. It was like watching a movie that you're not mad at but never want to see again.
Recommend to others?: Sure, but only if you're looking for suspense, this was not fast-paced or thrilling, just not bad.
