4 stars. I was recommended this book with no explanation before hand. I did like it very much the main character Alexis is great and I like Kieran not a super big fan of Mordecai but he kinda grows on you and Daisy is mid but the story line is great. I was a little confused why it was moving so slowly but I didn't realize it was part of a series I had assumed it was a standalone. I am very eager to see what is to happen in the next book and will be starting it right away. Basically no spice, they had I think 2 kissing scenes and a hand in pants and being in underwear after the pool issue but no more yet. I would recommend it to others.

No surprise, this book is awesome!
K.F. Breene does not disappoint in this new series! Her knack for creating quirky endearing and relatable characters is phenomenal. I absolutely loved the interplay between Kieran and Alexis. I.can't wait to see.what happens in the next book

This series is off to a strong start. It's intriguing and the magic system is cool. Alexis is so stubborn it's bordering on annoying, but I actually like her and I love the kids. This whole book was essentially a setup for the series because nothing all that interesting took place, plot wise, but it was still an enjoyable read. I will jump right into book 2.
Normally I don't buy pick this much, but the title of the book makes no sense to me - I can see from the rest of the series that the author followed a naming convention, but this title does nothing to tell you what the book is about and isn't even really relevant. There are three REFERENCES made to chocolate in the whole book. No one even eats any, it isn't a running joke, nothing like that. It's a weak tie-in. It's as if the book was titled and then those parts were added after the fact.

If you’ve read Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and loved the banter you’re going to love this supernatural version. These are fun quick reads. Honestly this whole series is a great palette cleanser if you’re in a slump. 10/10 recommend if you want a cute romance.

Super fun read!
I like when I find a fantasy book with a unique take on magic. This was definitely a unique take on magic. I really liked the catch 22 aspect as well. The character dialog felt young and fresh. I definitely recommend the book and look forward to the rest of the series!
