What. An. EPILOGUE!!!!!!!!!!!
So I originally only sought out the podcast story telling because Markiplier was in it. Just a huuuge fan of him. When I listened though, wow, what a great story!
I decided to get this book because I was a huge fan of the original story. This expands the story in sooo many ways. There are different stories of what people had been doing before passing in their sleep
A woman holding her baby after a long night of the child screaming, a man who snuck into a movie theater, people in the hospital. You get introduced to more main characters such as Ruth, and a pair of people who have sleep issues that keep driving after getting medication.
I honestly thought it was silly and wondered what the point was to introducing so many side characters and their deaths unless it was potentially filler? But WHAT THE HECK! At the end of the book Mateo(YAY!), Linda, and Dave are safe in the temple and doing wonderfully and sleeping sound. While they sleep the people who died slowly start to "wake up" like the walking dead. Even Katie who had died on the airplane on the way there starts making her way TO THE TEMPLE!
I am so excited! As far as I'm concerned this book should be beating every book release this year! I hope they write a second and I am all in and ready for it!

Couldn't put this one down! People die when they fall asleep. Those with sleep disorders are still alive, but in a new world. Dave and his friend Matteo try to figure out what to do, and things get weird. A good horror book, it's open for a sequel.

DONT FALL ASLEEP. I feel like this will be much easier for me to pay attention to in tv format when the show comes out. I got an ALC via libro f.m. EXTREMELY talented narrator. I zoned out on the story pretty often. I loved the characters. Nightmare on Elm Street meets the twilight zone. Is the best way I can describe it, I suppose? Even then, it doesn't really fit. I didn't completely comprehend the ending, but I really enjoyed the journey, I loved Dave and Matteo. Interesting mix of cosmic horror/scifi. More leaning towards scifi. I'm definitely going to be checking out the podcast this came from as well.

Terrible ending. Seems like a great concept for a book but I didn’t really vibe with the characters and the ending is just bad.
