DNF

I was excited to see some queer/trans women of color kick ass... but I think something about "western adult comics" just hasn't been selling me lately. Maybe I'll try to pick this up another time...

Loved this book. Read it. Two queer lady bounty hunters in space who are just messed up.

I loved this!!! It was so cool! I love Kim and Kim's friendship. They're hilarious! Even though Kim & Kim kinda hate Saar and Columbus I kinda like them. I'm excited to see what happens next.

loved having transwomxn just out here doing things and having adventures. not totally focused on only their transness.

pretty hectic plot wise but fun to read.

also cover art does not look like the art inside which i was happy about lol.

I dunno - am I too old for queer, intergalactic, punk rock bounty hunters? Maybe ...

This didn't do a ton for me personally, it felt like there was a LOT stuffed into 4 issues and the world/characters mostly never quite gelled for me? But the art is very fun and I enjoyed the banter between the 2 Kims, and it's definitely great to have a fun space/dimensional adventure with queer & trans characters. I just personally wish it were....slightly more fun? I guess?

A fun romp, where the main characters go on grand adventures and still worry about making rent

Loved the robot gorillas, the cool necromancer aunt, and the dislocated sandworm. Loved that even the hench-bounty hunters correctly gender one of the Kims while her father resolutely will not. The story of these two platonic besties scraping together short term gigs that turn others into a means to an end for powerful institutions to get by in a brightly colored semi-dystopian future felt real. I laughed out loud several times.

The fact so many of the characters were smoking cigarettes kept taking me out of it, especially when they dropped the butts on the ground, ground them out, and left them there. Hard for me to like a person who litters like that. Especially in the future.

I'll forgive a lot for robo-gorillas, though.

I let this one sit for a while because I wanted to collect my thoughts on it. While the main characters are fun I felt like the world building fell a little flat to me ESPECIALLY when their seems so much potential! There are also one too many jump cuts in this. I was ok with the first one but after a while it got a little confusing.
