Thank you so much to GoodGirlsPr and Lauren Blakely for an eARC of Well and Truly Pucked! Here is my honest review!

I absolutely love this spicy, interconnected standalone, why choose hockey series. I feel like every time I read one it's exactly what I need.

In this installment we meet Briar, a yoga instructor whose just been given the boot by her ex right before she has to work a festival. Her neighbors/casual friends are three hot hockey players who help her get her cat back.

Rhys, Hollis and Gavin are teammates and roommates. They love hockey more than anything and each have their own individual insecurities. Helping Briar out is a nonnegotiable though. After helping her they all go their separate ways promising to see each other at the festival which the guys are also attending.

A snaffoo occurs when the guys and Briar realize that their rental for the week of festival was overbooked and now they are spending the week together in close quarters. Not only that but Briar has enlisted the guys to help with an article she's writing on what makes a great boyfriend to try and win some prize money to launch her Flex & Flow fitness app.

Can they remain friends after the week is up?

The audiobook narrated by Samantha Brentmoore, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais and Teddy Hamilton, is amazing!
I laughed so many times.
This Full cast narration is pure joy 😍

Thank you Lauren for writing the best lovable characters (for each book).
The banter between the guys is perfect.
I will never hear “May I?” In the same way. Ever.
It’s a sweet hockey romance.

I was really surprised and I had a blast while listening to the bonus audio with all the cast laughing 😂

Not my favorite book; the synopsis/ setup for the book made me hopeful, but the story felt flat and lacking in depth. I’m also annoyed enough with the author’s bizarre takes on common turns of phrase and unnecessary use of obscure vocabulary that just don’t fit with the rest of her writing style. I don’t think I’ll seek out this offer again, but the book was still lighthearted and did mostly keep my attention.

When Briar comes home from an out-of-town conference. She’s taken by surprise when she finds all her belongings in a trash bag, her “boyfriend” Steven’s new girlfriend has moved in and stolen her cat. That’s when Hollis, Gavin, and Rhys three hockey superstars come to her rescue in more ways than one.

This was a fun read! Lauren does a great job of exploring polyamorous relationships. I love that each character is unique and has their own relationship with Briar. Hollis, Gavin, and Rhys were so sweet to Briar. I thought that they were all three so thoughtful towards Briar and her situation. They were all eager to help her learn not only about herself but also about how she deserves to be treated by a man. If you’re looking for a fluffy funny and spicy book, I’d highly recommend this series.

ARC REVIEW - 4⭐️/4🌶️

Tropes:

If you love spicy hockey romances like me then this fun and fast paced spicy (and I mean SPICY) why choose romance is for you!😍😉

There is rival teams, one of them is British and all three of them are OBSESSED with her just like I’m obsessed with them! When I was laughing from the very first chapter, I knew it was gonna be a good one and it did not disappoint.

One of my favourite moments has to be when one of them says ‘Fuck it’ and just goes for it. I SWOONED 🥵😍

Whoever said “good things come in threes” was onto something and after reading this book I cannot help but agree. Rhys, Gavin and Hollis can save me any day! You best believe I will be back to read the previous books in the series!

Thank you goodgirlspr and laurenblakely for the advanced copy! All opinions are my own
