This Is the sequel to Sleeping with Paris and I thought the author did a great job with it. For me both novels were a tad bit predictable but I actually really enjoyed getting lost in the story. I feel like all my girlfriends should read them and have a laugh or some definite feels.
In this follow up novel it picks up just about where we left off in book 1 and I liked the smooth transition. It lay down enough of what happened prior to this book that you could catch on easily. This book was filled with a little more adventure and suspense, which I really enjoyed.
I found myself at times wanting to shout at Charlotte and Luc. I wanted Charlotte to just come out straight with a lot of things she was holding back but I totally understand why she didn't. If she did we wouldn't have the story. The romance is not forgotten in the book, no lack of that. I swear I want a French man now just for the love and romance, and croissants lol. I'm glad I read this and look forward to more novels by this author!

This book starts off pretty much right where the last book in this series, Sleeping With Paris, ended. Charlotte and Luc are on their honeymoon but it is not long before suspense and drama start to creep in...
This book is fast paced and full of wit, the story line kept me interested and engaged right from the beginning. I found myself cheering Charlotte on, hoping that she would not give up on Luc even though he has so many secrets, I don't want to give too much away but it turns out that Charlotte does not know Luc quite as well as she thought she did. Did Charlotte make a mistake marrying Luc? So many things about Luc that don't add up keep happening and Charlotte along with the help of her friends, is left playing detective.
The friendship between Charlotte and her best friends is well written, I always like to see strong female friendships in books. The characters are well-developed and the writing is very descriptive in regards to food and scenery.
This book has lots of twists and turns but at the same time it is a fun and happy read with a surprise ending!
I hope that Juliette Sobanet will write more books in this series!

I only gave this three stars because I was looking to read something mindless and this fits the bill. It's fairly predictable and reparative, but if you just need some quick read chick lit, you've found it.

Charlotte Summers is supposed to be in happily newlywed bliss and she is with her adorable husband Luc Olivier by her side. That is until the last day of their honeymoon and an unfortunate incident of bumping into his ex.
Luc had not shared much about his ex and now Charlotte finds out that not only is she a famous actress, but Luc has left quite a few things out about his past. When everything begins to implode from learning how to be a new stepmom and Luc's past creeping into her career, Charlotte has had enough and takes a stand with her closest friends in tow.
I had not read the first book in series, but this was quite fun. I am not sure if you have to read in order, but the story filled in the gaps right away. With the background of Paris the story was romantic and for chocolate lovers a must read.

I didn't realize until after I finished this story that it was a follow up to a previous story about Charlotte, the main character. While it would have been nice to read the previous story to learn more about Charlotte, I don't feel like I missed out on too many important details. It was easy to pick up the second book without having read the first. I really enjoyed this story. This was a fast read that let you read about the luxurious lives of Charlotte and her new husband Luc as they set up their new lives in Paris. There was a bit of suspense towards the end of the book, that I definitely did not expect, but enjoyed! This was a happy-go-lucky story of a romance that withstands tough trials in today's world. I can't wait to read more about Charlotte and Luc in the future!
