When Phaedra is cursed by Aphrodite to be attracted to her celibate stepson, (Hippolytus,) she kills herself. Hippolytus' conversation with his father, (Theseus,) goes as follows:

Theseus: "She killed herself because you raped her!"
Hippolytus: "Why would I do that? I HATE women!"
