Violent and gory; full of courtroom drama and manipulations of the law. It has some cinematic moments. Can be dry, hard to get through, but is of historical worth.

Overall this book was quite repetitive.
Someone kills someone, then the family of the victim needs vengance, and kills the killer. Same thing happens again only the other way around.
BUT it had parts which were very exciting as well. My favourite parts of the book were the small moments were it became obvious how much their community mattered to them.
