Welcome back, Cross Academy! We get to finally get back to where the series started. Maybe it means the story is slowly getting back on track? After the past few volumes I had been debating on DNFing the series. This has given me just enough to be willing to continue. So the new twist to returning to the school is that Yuki is restarting on the Night class!

I feel like the story is going back to it's roots. Yuki is starting to actually DO something (even if it is small and possibly misguided at times). I still kept wondering what is going on with Kaname though. We have new characters entering the folds and still no real answer. So still lots of sifting needs to be done to try and pull out decent story plot but at least we can find parts once again!

I really don’t know what to think about this series anymore. I’m excited to finish it. Jumping in, I assumed it was a vampire academy series, and then it became more, and now we’ve made a full circle and we’re back into academy land and I have no idea why Kaname is gone. Seems like a plot device because they have to bring Zero and Yuki back together. And this point, I’m about 4 installments from the end and it’s the only reason I’m continuing but I’ve lost interest in these characters and a plot that hops around so much.

Vampire Knight finally turned a corner. The series is by far the most confusing of any that I've read. I still don't know where it's going or how long it's going to take to get there, but at least it finally feels like it's going somewhere.

After too many volumes where Yuki sat weak and useless while Kaname either manipulated her or wreaked havoc on the vampire world, our leading lady is actually doing something! Kaname is missing and Yuki steps in to assume a leadership role. She is determined to renew the positive relationship between vampires and humans that Kaname had forged with Headmaster Cross. The Night class reappears.

Kaname is largely, although not entirely, absent from this volume. I still don't know what to make out of him. I can't say that I like him anymore, but I also don't think he's as bad as he appears to be. I keep thinking that some explanation is going to come that will excuse his murderous behavior.

Best of all, Zero is back! He and Yuki have more interraction than they've had in many volumes. It's not like old times, but there's hints of the friendship they used to share. Even though Zero professes to hate Yuki, I think some of the "more than friendly" feelings he had for her are still there. As always, Hino-san's art conveys volumes of emotion.

The confusion of this series continues to frustrate me, but after this volume, I'm in for the long haul. I have to see what's going to happen.

Some parts of in each of these manga are super confusing, and this one is no exception. I do wish that some of the scenes would be more clear but besides that I am pretty much in love with this series!

- I don't understand what reinstating the night class is going to do. What is the point of all this?

- Yuki should stop playing around and go find and reprimand Kaname!

- I'm glad Yuki is finally taking some action, but to what end?

- I'm bored and confused, and I wish the series had ended with volume 10!
