This book is quite interesting and fun to read. I liked how some stakes were introduced into the plot, making it more than just a mediocre historical romance. However, the main characters both got on my nerves. They are so insufferable. Phoebe, as the title suggests, is very reckless and always gets into trouble, requiring Gabriel to save her. For Gabriel, although he actually cares for her, he is somehow rude to her. Overall, it was a nice experience to read this book, and I can't wait to read her other books, especially Ravished which is often mentioned as her best one.
