Some awkward transitions during the center portion about Leigh and Scarlett (especially during the reflection between actress and character) but otherwise compacted a punch of scholarship in under 100 pages.

very interesting and well argued but i disagreed w/ all the theory she brought up, and at heart i am a creature of pettiness and whim so love and light it gets 3 stars

This was a really good overview of Gone With the Wind and its various elements. However, with the novel as my favourite book and the movie as a top 10 favourite, most of what was in here was information that I knew anyway, so I didn't really feel like I was learning much which is why I gave it three stars.

For people less familiar with the story, the film, and the various behind-the-scenes and critical response, I think they would really get a lot out of it.
