Agatha has a new murder to solve, after meeting a new vet who tries to con her out of money, then learning he’s dead.

At first it was thought to be an accident, but after another murder, she and James set their minds to solving both of them.

Hilarious scenes in this whodunit, especially when Agatha trying to cover up a blemish on her nose. I love Bill Wong, and James Lacey is an interesting character as well. I figured out the murderer, but it was a merry char’s reading about all the suspects.

So glad I’m onto this series, looking forward to more.

never thought i’d be this invested in a 53 (nothing wrong with that) year old’s antics to snag a husband while solving murder mysteries but here i am lmao. this one was entertaining as well and still with some moments and remarks that made me uncomfortable. i don’t think this is a matter of it being a “product of its time” but i’m just gonna give the series one more go and see how i feel.

This was fun, and a quick read. Another cozy mystery. Agatha is still not very likeable, but that's ok - she has fun doing it.

Agatha much more ridiculous and reader is a sad sack. In the first book Penelope Keith did a much better job with humor.

A lovely continuation from The Quiche of Death. Agatha can't help but ask questions when the new local vet (and local Lothario) dies, from apparently accidentally injecting himself with horse tranquilliser. Fun and light, a great Sunday afternoon read.
