"It's wonderful" they said. "Reminiscent of I Capture the Castle and Nancy Mitford" they said. *sigh* I should have known better. It's alright I suppose, sweet and funny in places. But it lacks the warmth and beauty of Dodie Smith and the sparkling wit of Nancy Mitford. I wish 'they' would keep their comparisons to themselves because I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn't been mentally comparing it to some of my favourite books throughout!
