Boring. Really no new information

I feel like I just wasted time. I know that this was going to be somewhat repetitive but it seemed very like the book I just finished. There were few things I gleaned from this. I hope the next novella isn't the same

"Let those stories be told."
This story takes place in a scene from House of Ravens and it's from Zorin's point of view. It shows the motives behind his actions, part of his past and his feelings towards Scarlett and their cause.
Also part of the story gives insight into Varian's mind.

Even though the book should be about Zorin, it didn't feel like it. Part of it was entirely the same as in HoR, maybe a line more to see what Zorin thinks, but it doesn't reveal anything new about him. At least not something that's significant for the story.
The parts about Varian were more interesting and that's why I'd recommend reading it.

I really enjoyed seeing things from Zorin's side. He really does care for Scarlet more than he's willing to admit. To see the struggle within himself, his identity between him as Zorin and him as Nyx. It also opens your eyes a lot on King Varian. Another great read!

I love reading about Nyx...er I mean Zorin ;) it gives a great insight to him better and gives us glimpses to his past that Nightfall wishes she knew.
It is always great to read about other main characters and their lives and it shows a great author that can develop stories for not just the MAIN characters but the other main characters as well.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I will be really excited when to read book 3 as well as the Princess' story when it comes out.

Parts of it were also in the previous book, just a small amount of the plot was new. It did paint a background of Zorin, but I still am excited to read next one.

This contributed very little to the story. Basically just a retelling of Ravens, without enough from Zorin to justify the reread.

*4 Stars*

I have quickly fallen in love with Scarlett/Nightfall and and the rest of the characters in the two previous books. I was quite excited to see some of the story from Zorin's point of view.

Zorin is like a mysterious onion, once you think you're starting to figure him out you pull back another layer and must start all over again. I really enjoyed getting to peel more of those layers away with Night of Nyx. The previous books had eluded to a past love, we finally get to learn more about that relationship, as well as his past relationship with Carter.

The one thing that fell a bit flat for me was the parallel storyline to some of the event of the previous books. I wish that we could have experience a bit more of the "present" with Zorin, Nightfall, and the rest of the gang.

Overall, it was a fabulous book... but what can you expect when it comes from Karpov Kinrade? I can't wait to get my greedy little hands on the next book of the series.

Night of Nyx is an excellent companion to the Nightfall Chronicles.

This little novella gives a great insight into Zorin. It gives a great deal of information alongside the novel series (of course, you don't need to read this novella to understand the series, but for readers who are obsessed with this series, it definitely doesn't hurt!). I think it would be best to read it after House of Ravens.

Zorin's motivations and Danika are discussed in this novella, and it won't disappoint the readers. The insight into this character is fantastic, and written in a beautiful perspective! The alternate POVs also makes this novella even better!

Karpov Kinrade wow-ed me yet again! I can't wait to get my hands on the next novel in the Nightfall series!

I received a free copy of this book for my honest opinion.

It was interesting to see some of the background about Zorin and some insight on his side of things. It brought a different perspective to the story of Nightfall and got me excited for the next book in this series. I can't wait!

Great view from another character

Enjoyed reading this short story from one of my dearest loves of the story in the Nightfall Chronicles. It was very touching to learn the inner thoughts of Zorin, and his life before Nightfall.

I'm more intrigued than ever with King Varian. I'm not quite certain what to make of him and the Pope now. There's so much to learn, so many twists left; of this I'm quite certain.
