Sarah Pearse books are good but I don't think they are for me. This is the second book I've read by her and I'm not wowed by her. I feel like there's too many characters to be keep track of and the story has many layers which was good but also confusing when you're trying to keep track of at least 10+ characters not including the main character.

Will is absolutely insufferable, drives me crazy. He expects her to be an exact replica of him, and nothing is ever good enough for him.

I love Sarah Pearse’s writing styles. She adds the perfect twists and the perfect distractions to get your head turned the other way. I was a little disappointed in her choice of killer this time around. I didn’t eat it up as much as I did with The Sanatorium. I also kept comparing it to The Sanatorium and wanting this book to play by the same rules. Which it didn’t, but I think that’s okay. It was still a good book.
I STILL GOT ONE OF THE KILLERS RIGHT IN THE END BITCHES. I KNEW HER ASS WAS GUILTY. But I also love female killers, and Pearse writes them in such a lovely way. I forgive Maya. Jo had it coming.

Detective Elin Warner gets a call that a body has been found at a new wellness retreat. Upon examining the body, she’s made aware that this women wasn’t a guest - so why was she here? Soon after another body is found from an apparent drowning but Elin isn’t so sure about that as this person is an expert diver. Detective Warner must figure out who’s responsible for these deaths before another body is discovered.

This was a fast read for me, as most thrillers are. The plot kept me on my toes and I just had to figure out who was responsible. I had a guess on who I thought was the killer and I was somewhat right which usually doesn’t happen

Kept me entertained, kind of predictable. The Sanatorium was much much better.
