I just find the writing emotionless...i honestly just stayed for the jokes and potential closure with the love interest. Might or might not read the next book, we'll see.

Just as witty and laugh-out-loud funny as the first one. A good, fast, fun read. Perfect for the plane or the beach.

Just as charming as the first one, with some welcome character development and dimensionality.

It was a cute fun book to listen to on our road trip.

I particularly enjoyed Morty the lawyer in this one. I am curious how well Izzy is going to wear as a character over 5 books. The major plotline is frankly a bit absurd, but Lutz does a good enough job of weaving in the subplots to keep the book moving along.

Love the Spellman's & Izzy's antics. Found this one a bit predictable though. Still good for a laugh.

A re-read for me. Great characters, very funny and good mystery. I love being in the Spellman's world.

Here is the 2nd book in the Spellman series. This highly dysfunctional family of private investigators return for a funny story of suspicion, surveillance and convictions.

This book was everything I expected in all the best ways: unique and surprising (mostly) main plot, ridiculous side stories, and one of the most outrageous casts of characters I've ever encountered. Some of the scenes were so unbelievable I would simultaneously laugh, groan and want more, so I finished the entire book in one sitting.

I can't wait for the next one!
