Small Spoilers

Tijan's characters are so weird. A lot of the time I'm confused of how they think and act. They are definitely not your typical M.C. Same goes for Samantha in the Fallen Crest High series. I'm not sure if it's the writing, or these characters are just off. Maybe all the family/life/school drama changes them.

Jesse and Alex, I love them together, but again it's weird. I'm not used to this kind of "love" story. It's very sexual. I think of all the love story books I've read, and well, those seem soft compared to these books. I enjoy the change, but it also makes me miss the sweet moments from the regular love story.

The ending was a little... Well it was a good, but also not concrete. Yeah Alex is moving in with Jesse, and they're going to be a couple, but what about that comment made about still living at his house even if they break up? That's not something I want to hear in the end! Sure no one knows the future, and not everything is set in stone, but really? It should only and for always be, Alex and Jesse.

Not sure I'll read the third book. Yeah I might want to know what's up between Luke and Bri, if that's what it's about, maybe even Cord, but I'm not at my seats end waiting for it.

One last thing
SpoilerFINALLY the secret is out! And sheesh! Does it ever make me hate controlling parents. After hearing what they did, it makes me wish so badly that Ethan was alive. I mean, he has a kid! And he loved this chick, and even the kid, but now he'll never see her. It just all seems unfair, and makes me just hate death in books. Well at least Alex get's to meet her niece. Oh! But her mom? GAH! I can't believe she weaselled her way into her granddaughters life. It's just, it bugs me that she treated Alex so horribly and decides to be apart of little Alexi's life. If ONLY she'd done that from the beginning.
Sigh...

hmmm it dragged for me and was to YA for my taste. A lot of waffle about friends- that's probably my fault for picking this one though

This was weird. I finally got some of the answers I was looking for after BS#1) Although I'm low-key wanting to know Cord's story really bad.

I knew I was going to enjoy this book. I just didn't think I was going to enjoy it miles more than the first one, and I still thought the first one was decent.

I love that Alex is a little bit angry, but still holds on to her heart. Hannah and Beth are definitely the friends she needed all along. Hannah stole every scene she was in and had me screaming and kicking my feet.

Honestly, Alex is almost too good for Jesse. He better spend the rest of his life making it up to her for how he treated her in book one. Book two Jesse's behavior was a good start though.

OMG, I love this book. It's awesome. The story just gets better and better.

Alex's life couldn't get anymore complicated. She starts college life single and looking for answers. She doesn't stay single for long and she gets answers to questions, she didn't even ask!!! She makes new friends, who are just as broken as she is. Her old friends keep coming back like bad pennies.

Jesse loves his college life but he misses Alex to much. He is going to fight to get her and do his best to keep her. He has answers to her questions but he has promised to keep those answers secret. They are not his secrets to tell.

I would recommend this book and the series.

It's rare that I think the follow up book is better than the original, but this one was...

Better than the Fallen Crest series. I couldn't put this series down! Some of the situations are a bit juvenile, but the characters and slowly unwinding secrets and plot twists kept me going.

Jesse and Alex's story continues!! Book 2 picks up pretty much where the last book left off. And I will say that all the questions you had at the end of the first book, were finally answered.

I really liked Jesse more in this story. You get to see a whole different side to him and his character changed so much. He is not what I thought he was. I wish I could say more, but it would give too much away.

We got introduced to a lot of new characters. I really like Hannah and Beth. They seemed to just accept Alex and after everything that she's been through, she needed real friends. Cord was an awesome friend to Alex, he really looked out for her.

Broken and Screwed pt 2 was a great continuation of the first book. It had plenty of romance, betrayal, drama, secrets and lies. And I loved it!
