Two Christmases later & we check in on Izzy & Austin & all the rest of the crew. Izzy & Austin are facing a near impossible choice. They fight to figure out what love is worth. Ultimately, I think Izzy made the wrong choice. I love romance, but this felt like capitulation. Helena is suddenly the smartest mom in the room (not really.) And Paula’s story is so sad, I teared up.
I was not happy with the ending.

This entire book could have been summarized, in five pages, as the epilogue in the first book.

Happy to reunite with the adorable cast of characters.
Some lovely cozy moments.
Disappointing ending, no build up to make us feel good about their choice!

Did not like this as much as the first one, the character development seemed to pretty much have gone out the window. It had some cute bits and it was a super nice, quick and easy read. I'm still loving all the female friendships and how they grumble about each other but are supportive none the less, it's a great feature of Colgan books. But I just didn't enjoy the direction the overall story was going, especially the ending was not my cup of tea.

Awful. Why do we need romance novels where the woman gives up her career, her joy, her joke, her friends for...a jerky man’s job that he doesn’t like but makes more money at? Horrible
