A resounding and triumphant conclusion to the epic saga of Prince Jalan and Snorri. Written slightly differently to the previous two novels in the series with the first half of the book following Jalan as he flashes between present day back in the castle and his past adventure with Snorri in literal Hell/Hel. Joining these two storylines together, the novel concludes with an all-time classic adventure to save to world as the characters know it. I loved this book as a conclusion to the series as it covers and wraps up succinctly the broad story lines that were so engrossing.

I think three stars is my overall review for this series as a whole. While I enjoyed it, it never really enthralled me. This series felt like it had too much Deus Ex Machina going on. Every time it looked like there was no hope, some unforeseen miracle occurred and bailed our (anti) heroes out.
I liked The Broken Empire series more overall.

A worthy conclusion to our favorite prince's misadventures. Has a siege.

Fantastic end to a brilliant trilogy! I was pleased to see Jal go back to his normal behavior... too many books end with the main character being changed into something that wasn't them because of the events in the book.

This is a good ending of a great trilogy. As usual, the writing style is superb (at least as much as I can tell anyway, English is not my native language) and the story is very interesting.
However, I have to say I think it's not as good as the previous books. Maybe that had to be like that, because it really is an ending of a story (more so then 3rd book in the thorns trilogy) and every plot is nicely and steadily going to its finish. There is not that much space for author to surprise us with twists or to introduce new, interesting characters. It's all done very well, but without that something special I felt in the previous books.
I loved prince of thorns, because he was so intelligent and broken. I loved prince of fools, because he was so honest in his dishonesty and so completely different. I can't wait for Red Sister and everything she will bring.

A great ending to the trilogy! This was pretty much non-stop from page 1 with a lot of character growth for Jalan. As expected from the title, this digs deeper into the lore behind the Wheel of Osheim itself. Still love the world building here and this was a satisfying ending.

A fun continuation but the end left some things for me disappointed. The dual timelines are also slightly confusing. Jorg made a fun cameo.
