Julie Caplin is a very accomplished author and her books, always set in a different beautiful country, are pure escapism. The Amalfi coast setting is gorgeous, as are all the food descriptions. I once spent Easter with an Italian friend and her family, and after a day of food, her cousins were still shovelling pasta at 9pm - they really love to eat!

I fell in love with the entire warm Salvatore family, however, I disliked grumpy Raph and his stupid trust issues that were so prevalent that they dominated his whole personality. I don't care how good-looking you are and how much you want to protect your stepfather (who is a grown man and doesn't need it) - you don't treat a woman you're supposedly in love with like that.

So, points off for that, but the cover is lovely and the book reads fast, and there is a happy ending. I mean, of course there is.
