This is my very first Nina Pierce read and I enjoyed it. The story was quick & fast paced with tons of suspense that kept you turning the page. Deirdre (Dee) was such a fun character to read. She's had trouble in the past but she has clawed her way back and is all the stronger for it. She is not perfect but she knows what she wants out of life and has a plan to get her there. She just never expects it to include a man, especially after her history. Ayden is haunted by his past and feels responsible for everything that has happened (you'll have to read to find out what it is ;) ). The struggle that he goes through to forgive himself and to gain respect back was very believable and well-written.


This is book #2 in the series and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading book 1, Blind Her With Bliss. I have OCD (Obsessive Chronological Disorder) so I struggled with starting at 2, and while I wasn't lost, I just wish that during certain scenes, that I was familiar with some of the back-story. All in all it was a good solid book, however, it was pretty fast paced and I would have liked to get a little more character development, simply because they were so likable. I'll definitely go back and read the remaining books and hopefully that will give me what I'm looking for.

Passion and suspense go hand-in-hand in LOVE’S BOUNTY. Author Nina Pierce knows how to turn up the heat and keep it on high, which makes LOVE’S BOUNTY a deliciously erotic read. Couple that with the danger brought about by Ayden’s case and you’ll find that LOVE’S BOUNTY is definitely a high-octane thrill of a read.

LOVE’S BOUNTY is the second story in Ms. Pierce’s TILLING PASSIONS series, but it can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the other TILLING PASSIONS books, but I enjoyed LOVE’S BOUNTY so much that I’ve already bought the first book in the series, BLIND LOVE. All in all, I enjoyed LOVE’S BOUNTY, and I’m looking forward to reading more about the endearing Tilling family.

Das ist mein erstes Buch von Nina Pierce und ich wussste erst nicht, dass es sich hierbei bereits um Teil 2 der Reihe handelt. Das macht aber gar nicht, da man Teil 1 nicht gelesen haben muss. Ich konnte alles trotzdem nachvollziehen.

Da die Geschichte nur kurz ist, war sie mir etwas zu übereilt. Außerdem mochte ich Ayden mehr als Deirdre, die mir mit der Zeit etwas auf die Nerven ging. Gestört hat mich auch etwas, dass konstant erwähnt wurde, dass sie zuvor eine Beziehung zu einer Frau hatte, obwohl das für die Geschichte überhaupt nicht relevant ist.

Alles in allem aber eine nette spannende Geschichte.
