Like other readers, from the blurb I expected a comedy. It's more of a satirical book, that could be funny depending on your sense of humour.
I was entertained, but largely by its silliness, which did keep me wanting to know what was going to happen.
The main character is incredibly self-centred and arrogant, in the way main characters are in books for preteen boys, which becomes increasingly more apparent as the book progresses.
It's definitely not my kind of book, but the writing as a whole was good.
