I love, love, loooove this book. To me it was hilarious. I think it covers the topics of minorities being stereotyped in the workplace without overtly doing so. I also love the idea of the revenge of the Cicadas or the minorities.

I feel like a book with so few pages hasn't elicited this much of a reaction from me since After the Fall by Dan Santat.

I enjoyed this. I take issue with it being a children’s book. I think it wants to be subversive and suggestive but it’s not towing that line very well. It’s a short, illustrated, adult story in the form factor of a children’s book. Doing my best to reread this thru children’s eyes—I can’t see the redeeming value for them.
