Slow burn mystery that is hard to put down. The book provides the narrative of several points of view throughout the book to give you nuggets of information of the disappearance. While the book left me guessing, my guesses weren't completely right, allowing for surprise on the unveiling of the mystery.

This was a slow start for me that picked up at about the 40% mark. I struggled with the timeline switches and wished the author would have chosen a different way to differentiate where we were in the timeline. Not the most shocking ending but still enjoyable.

This wasn’t my favorite book, but it wasn’t my least favorite either. Kind of meh. This book switches from past to present frequently. Listening on audio, it was difficult to keep up with as the timespans are only a year or so apart. Reader tip: if you can only focus on one portion of the date, focus moreso on the year than the month. In the very beginning, I was paying more attention to the month than the year and it made things confusing for me.

I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and was a little sad when it finished because the characters just felt so real and it just feels like there’s more of them but there’s not lol.

I definitely saw that twist coming from a mile away but it played out a bit differently than I had imagined. Regardless, it was still a lovely book.

Zach sucks, that’s all I’ll say.

This is my second Lisa Jewel book, and it was so good. It’s starts a bit slow in the beginning but it’s really quite interesting, so that’s okay. It follows a few different people and jumps from one persons pov to another, yet Lisa is able to keep the story on track. Everything lines up so well. You have the past and the present, Kim living in a world without Tallulah, everything that led up to her disappearance from Tallulahs pov, and Sophie, the detective novelist that was sucked into this crazy thing that happened in this small village. This story kept me absolutely captivated every step, and I didn’t feel the need to skim any of it.
