Slow burn mystery that is hard to put down. The book provides the narrative of several points of view throughout the book to give you nuggets of information of the disappearance. While the book left me guessing, my guesses weren't completely right, allowing for surprise on the unveiling of the mystery.

Long drawn out limp noodle. No plot twists, minimal surprises at the end (that are not shocking and very believable due to prior events). I felt like this book could have been edited down to 1 chapter. Many missed opportunity to throw in a twist or have the plot become twisty and thick. The only reason I kept listening through this 12hr audiobook was because I wanted to know what happened to them and then the ending was such a disappointment.

This wasn’t my favorite book, but it wasn’t my least favorite either. Kind of meh. This book switches from past to present frequently. Listening on audio, it was difficult to keep up with as the timespans are only a year or so apart. Reader tip: if you can only focus on one portion of the date, focus moreso on the year than the month. In the very beginning, I was paying more attention to the month than the year and it made things confusing for me.

I'm super disappointed in this book because I loved None of This is True. The book dragged, and the only really thrilling part was the end. The timeline gets very confusing, especially if you're listening to the audiobook like me. There's a bit too much happening. The story of Tallulah before the night she disappeared (hehe) was pretty boring. Kim was cool, but all the other characters were kinda annoying. The characterization of everyone was very shallow, and some of their decisions were poorly written and mind-boggling. The conclusion of the mystery was pretty good though so I can't be too upset.

I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and was a little sad when it finished because the characters just felt so real and it just feels like there’s more of them but there’s not lol.

I definitely saw that twist coming from a mile away but it played out a bit differently than I had imagined. Regardless, it was still a lovely book.

Zach sucks, that’s all I’ll say.
