As an urban teacher I found this book to be full of false generalizations. This may be her experience, but it is not most teacher's experiences. New teachers should not read this book looking for a solution, advice....or information before they start working in an urban setting.

A good heart, patience, and a willingness to experiment are much more useful.

A good classroom management book.
