Wow! I am so crazy emotional after reading this book! This is a military romance that spans over several years and takes us from Australia to Afghanistan. An epic love story that that has ruined me for all other books!

There were definitely some surprises in this plot that kept me fully engaged and intrigued to see where the direction the story was headed. I loved every moment of Jamie's journey! This was not only a story of finding love but also of finding herself and ultimately finding what made her happy.

Jamie enlists in the army as she tries to escape the demons of her past. She becomes a combat medic which puts her on the front line of battle. We experience the brutality, loss and grief of war and we also get to see the difficulties that face women in the army. I have read many military romances but the way the author spin's this tale felt so refreshing and unique. I must tell you that my heart hurt a lot in this book! We get our HEA but just know there are some gut wrenching painful moments.

There are also moments of pure romance that made my heart swoon! I loved this hero so much! His love for Jamie was so selfless and unconditional. His grand/romanctic gestures had me completely undone and his overall cocky and jovial personality made him so damn loveable.

This is a love story that will long be remembered! Sexy, flirty and fun to read while also full of pain, passsion and yearning. I absolutely recommend! I have also read and loved Fighting Redemption but this can definitely be read as a standalone.

This was a hell of a ride. On that I personally couldn't get off of. Trying to figure out who Bear was and everything. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this. The only thing I cringed at was the convincing of having a baby. That's about it

Loved it. Not a typical romance book but a great love story. I really fell for all the characters.

Ok, so I really liked this book. There were some issues (honestly, as a woman who’s been deployed multiple times) as some of the deployment story could be better. The boredom was there and the gym time and exhaustion after long days but the trauma was A LOT and it’s pretty unrealistic that she’d go through all of that without leadership seeing her as high risk and stepping in.
I actually really liked both men, I could see that Kyle was her first ‘love’ and emotionally supported her during her worse days but dang I liked Jake too because he was what she needed to have fun and escape her thoughts. I struggled to move back to Kyle but eventually the feelings felt real and genuine again. The miscommunication was frustrating but it made sense as they were two traumatized people without good coping skills or communication in a relationship….but the resolution took a REALLY long time to get through.
Sex was hot…all around. The emotions and inner dialogue was there with each scene and that made it powerful for me.
Overall I loved it. It’s messy with flawed characters but mostly realistic and very sexy.

I wanted to love this book, I really did. I wish Bear’s character had more to him, it just was not enough for me. I was so happy to see a different POV for Jake even though it was torture reliving everything from the first book. I knew it was coming and still cried. Also I am NOT ok with how nonchalant they were about him leaving her for 3 months at the end?! And then his wedding speech?!! That was his moment to actually be romantic and say all the words yet he chose to comment on their sex life. To me it felt more physical than anything, I didn’t feel like they were really in love but maybe that’s just me

Sooo, I decided to pick this book again in favor of curing my * severe * reading slump since I gave this a full 5 stars and still remembered how intense I felt when reading this a while back. But, unfortunately the feels that I anticipated didn't come erghh, this is one of the books that I wish I could read it for the first time again. Anyways, the objective of why I picked this book in the first place? Achieved!✅ I'm on my way of starting a new book! * fingers-crossed *

On the side note, this master's degree really makes me super busyy and occupied, I'm finding myself soo hard to enjoy reading anymore ;(
