This book was the first that I have ever read by Koontz but it was a good one. The book started very slow and I was a bit confused; however, once you got to almost the middle of the book, everything started to come together.

Really enjoyed this one! I've been a huge fan of Dean since I was about 12 or so. His style is the same and stories are still as attention-grabbing as ever!

Maybe I'm not a Koontz fan.. My 2nd novel by the author. Loved the suspense but I didn't follow the "truth" evolving in the 2nd half. Didn't like the ending either.

2.5. Too many questions and barely any answers. Not his best work.

I don't think I've ever given a Dean Koontz book less than five stars, but upon reading this book for the second time (at least the second time I've documented it), I found it fell short from some of his other stories, for me. Honestly, it just shows the man is human (or is he?) and that he writes some pretty amazing stories in order for one of his, in comparison, to just seem a little less enthralling. Not a bad story, but just not my favorite of his, for sure.

I was disappointed in this story. Not his best at all.
