This was an assigned book for my university course which consists of various articles on various topics from different points in time. I really enjoyed this book a lot as it gave me some new things to consider in regards to housewives mainly. The first section talks about housewives and housework and being paid for such labor. It really made me consider the benefits and possible implications of doing that. The section on globalization was really good as well because it opened my eyes to some rather disturbing things I didn't know were occurring. Overall, I highly recommend this read!

This is an excellent collection of essays and speeches on the wages for housework movement, the struggles and stagnation in feminism, and how the feminist agenda has to include an international dimension that includes fighting against structural adjustment programs, austerity programs, and war. Feminist should also advocate for free higher university and a collectivization of reproduction. Arguing against the “equality” campaign, Federici instead asks that we fight for a post-capitalist world and an end for exploitative labor practices and extractive processes to liberate us all.

Interesting theoretical argument with good information, but designed for a movement that isn't that active anymore. Also she's a terf.

Really enjoyed “Wages Against Housework,””Why Sexuality is Work.” “Going to Beijing” “Women, Land Struggles, and Globalization” and the final essay on domestic workers and care work. I think I would have enjoyed the essay on affective labor better if it wasn’t so academic
