I've been looking for the name of this book for 9 months, I finally found it I read this as a child and I'm just so enamored by the beautiful illustration. I'm so relieved to know that it's beloved by so many and I will be trying to find a copy for myself & young daughter!

This was always one of my favorite books as a kid and it holds true to today.
This follows Jenny as she goes on her normal summer trip to visit her grandma and ends up finding two kittens one day. She befriends them and takes care of them all summer and falls in love with them.
It's such a cute story and I adore the kittens so much.
Always a delight and a book that brings back lovely memories.

This book features two of my favourite things: summer days and cats. Enough said! Jenny has spunk for a girl; she's out and about swimming, collecting mussels, climbing trees and fishing. A great active role model to counter all those little princesses and ballerinas so prevalent in children's books.
