Ok, I saw this and thought it was like the eat this, not that books. I love those, they talk about food, good and bad, and there is no judging. In this book there were so many pages about how God wants people to eat and if you eat the "dead" foods, well, it was just wrong.
Yes, I know fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are great for you and processed foods are not. I didn't realize the good foods are the "living" foods and the bad foods are the "dead" foods. Living foods = good, dead foods = bad.
Did you know that sugar can make you violent? According to this book (pg 33) and some authorities when people "come down" from a sugar high they become grumpy, irritable, and may even become violent. Wow, I had no idea that could happen. I'm about to go bat-shit crazy on someone because I ate some M&M cookies from work.
This book recommends Chick-fil-A because the sandwiches are under 500 calories and because the founder is a Christian. (?) What does that have to do with anything? (Yes, I can be very bitter when people say things like that)
At the end of the book there is a personal note from the author about how you can be saved and have a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ. If you haven't met the author's best friend Jesus then you can recite the paragraph and be saved. I guess anyone who believes something else is considered wrong and should just forget about eating well.
I have my own beliefs and they include God and Jesus but I'm not going to shove them (my beliefs) down peoples throat or tell them what to eat based on what God wants them to eat. How does the author know what God wants me to eat? If what you eat and what you believe go together, great, if not, that's ok too. We all have our weaknesses and junk food is mine.

Great book on nutrition. Offered some good suggestions for selecting healthy food. Also gave good tips on identifying real organic food and grain despite what package said
