So, I read this when I was like, in middle school and I've been in love ever since.

My new favorite alphabet song. Update- so when my students get their alphabet wrong on a work cited page, I show the most annoying Sesame Street alphabet song I can find. Well, this year teaching from home complicated that. So I read them this. Thank you Mr. Gordy.

Essentially, this is the alphabet book that all the Addams family children would have learned how to read from. Every page has an illustration that represents the method of death for each letter of the alphabet.

It's a quick read, but it's an enjoyable one that never gets old.

Strange how such a morbid little book can leave you so sure of your place in the world. Schadenfreude at its finest?

Reminds me of a story: a woman stands up to memorialize her friend at his funeral and after a few well chosen words, looks fondly at his closed coffin. She then turns to the gathered mourners and ask, "I wonder what he'd be doing now, if he were still alive...SCRATCHING AT THE LID OF HIS COFFIN!"

She then was politely escorted away.

Esperaba más de este relato. No fue malo, solo que no fue lo que esperé.
