This one was like worst than the first. Idk I skipped through most of it. Idk how to feel about Daisy and Holden, also his nickname for her, "kid", gave me the fucking ick. What's this author's obsession with coffee/tea, like I was over it since the first book.

So much love

This was a different twist to a brothers best friend romance. There is always the big blow up and it was not there this time. I loved the different take and thought it brought it to a new level. Absolutely loves this story! They were so cute!

More than enough

I can never say truly express how much I love the 'Inked Hearts' & 'Inked Love' series. My beloved southern California at the center of these tatted up heros and the beautiful heroines that love them. I think each story is so real and honest. I loved every bit of getting to know Holden, but it was Daisy who was center stage for this story. It's amazing to me how many young girls struggle with wasting disorders, like life isn't hard enough with all the teenage hormones. It will likely be something always there for her. But Holden was the perfect balance for her, there to love through the 'broken' and let her soar to her future. I always find the heaviness and laughter at a perfect balance in this authors books. Can't wait for the next!

I really try to be more kind and less critical with my reviews… but boy this book was so boring.

Daisy is a cliché, Holden is a cliché… the only thing that wasn’t is Oliver’s reaction.

Wanted to DNF it @ 20% but I tried to finish it (for that I had to skip so many lines)

I read Faking it, which was cool but this one ? Nope, I didn’t like it

I think that I would have rated this higher had it had more tension? Nothing truly moved forward between Holden and Daisy until 50% into the book. My problem lies with the fact that they are both so in their own head that they didn't make a move. Holden is a tattoo artist who works with Daisy's brother, Oliver. Daisy turns eighteen and she has been in love with Holden for forever basically. She wants to lost her virginity to him.

Oliver, Daisy, Luna (her best friend), and Holden end up going on vacation in Mexico. What kind of makes me wonder why there wasn't an honest conversation between Oliver and Holden is something I will never know. Oliver knows that Daisy has a crush on him and at the end knows that Holden and Daisy had been having sex with each other pretty much the whole time. Obviously, since Luna took Oliver here and there to let Holden and Daisy have their time together.

As I mentioned earlier, the lack of tension made it hard to get through the first half of the book and then the second half made it hard to feel any real connection. Daisy deals with an eating disorder and reveals that about 3/4 in the book. Holden seems to have his hang-ups and avoids showing his true self because he hides behind his easy-going mask.

I will say that I love Daisy's dad. He really is the dad I wish everyone had in the way that he is attentive and doesn't avoid having real and serious talks about relationships, sex, and just living life. He is a solid rock in Daisy's life. I wish that Oliver and Daisy had more of a moment together really getting past the fears of her relapsing.

I would say that the spice level for this is like a 1.5. It had a lot of Holden teaching Daisy which was actually done in a way that was respectful and he never made her feel less than. I did appreciate the caring way that Holden taught her how to have sex and he was patient.

Incredible!
This is one of my favorite Crystal Kaswell books - right up there with "The Baby Bargain."
The author doesn't tell a story, she invites you into the characters' heads and hearts, to live alongside them and experience their lives. The challenges these characters experience individually are real and raw, yet somehow Ms. Kaswell uses that to make the story better and richer. This book is a perfect example that dramatic license and implausible situations are not necessary to writing a good story. The gritty reality of life, where people are flawed, wounded and trying to find their way, is the perfect canvas for a beautiful love story. Loved it!

Well, I hope you like chai because the characters in this book fucking love it.
The tea references weren't as bad as all the matcha references in book #1, but now I gotta read #3 just to find out which tea they are obsessed with. Maybe it'll be super crazy and be coffee this time!
That aside, the story isn't bad. I was only a little icked out by it focusing on Daisy being barley legal, etc. I had to keep reminding myself that Holden is only 21 so I guess it's not that weird? I feel like the male characters come across as a lot older for some reason.
