I did not anticipate how much fun I would have reading this book...
And I dont even like the mMCs because of their sexual harassment at the beginning and the amount of misogyny
"Women are nothing but holes and they only deserve to be fu€ked in the a$$"
and slutshaming...like that's neither cute nor sexy(even if the fMC after actually acknowledging their misogyny still is attracted to them)...
Also this book contains the bully trope times ten...
BUT.
The fMC!!! I adore this woman and her inner dialogue is hilarious as everything is from her POV the stark contrast between the terrible things that are happening and then her thoughts are making even her flat jokes funnier.
Her POV is also really fitting her character and seems incredibly authentic. Which of course means it is at some times a little redundant and unperfect, maybe over the top but that's what makes it seem realistic and the character seem approachable.
She was absolutely the reason why I finished this book and will be reading the next one.

(please take a look at the TWs as in not only the summary that only mentions a few)

im not a weak bitch but this book brought me to the ground❓🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️ so many things wrong with this, it made me feel like shit

fmc keeps droning on and on about the monSTEr 👾👾🧌 inside her but we never see this materialize UNTIL class battles where she hacks and saws the UnGodLy 🩸🗡️. so of course this makes her a monster 🫨🫨😭

she’s strong one second and the next she’s not. this is valid guys, and i actually found myself cheering her on during her standoffs with the 3️⃣ (asshole) kings. but if ITS already SO PROBLEMATIC I CANT - the torture, the aChing wound on her back everything is mentioned about every other fucking page, making ME want to eat her heart.

her anxiety cripples her so much it offhandedly describes how she slams her head on the floor, on the wall, on the desk?

i cant even get started on the three 🐷, they’re sadistic, misogynistic and full of hate no one from them is redeemable. yes fuck you orion 😍😺😺 i dont care if you dont speak, but if youre just standing while others are being beaten up & abused somethings fucking wrong with you.

and the ending REALLY❓😺😺🫠🫠 of course the sadistic unfeeling vampyre lothaire is her fucking father whose emotions suddenly SWITCH when he finds out aran is his daughter.

and since we decided to give fmc all the horrible things to ever happen to a fmc, of course she becomes a slave at the end - what being the slave means i dont even care to know anymore 🤦🏻‍♀️

Didn’t like this as much as the first 3 Shifterverse books.

I do like Aran, and the plot is decent. World-building is great. I just found the MMCs to be unbearable.

I liked this book a LOT more than expected. I loved Sadie and her mates and wasn’t ready to let go, but Aran/Arabella was a nice change that was still similar.
