A funny and enjoyable book.

Another amusing tale from Jonas Jonasson! A good, light-hearted read, with some amusing twists and turns in the plot! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a funny and enjoyable book!

it was good, i like his writing but i didn’t like how he referred to the main characters by their jobs not their names
just wasn’t as good as some of his other books, which i adored

Not terrible writing, just too silly for me. It's my second Jonas Jonasson, and now I've decided not to read the other two I have here.

Not really worth the effort. His first book was brilliant but they have gone downhill since and this was not entertaining at all.

A welcome return to form for the author of the '100 year old man who climbed out of the window....'. Not as good as 'the 100 year old man' which I gave 5 stars to, but still quirky fun and a good read. The beginning and middle are strong. The ending feels rushed and a bit weak.

Welcome to the wonderfully quirky but completely logical world of the excessively dim Hitman Anderson. Now that he's got religion he only breaks the bits that will mend - with his baseball bat. Welcome also to the penniless priest who accidentally introduced him to religion, his smart business partner Johanna. She has been ejected from her parish for the minor transgression of being an atheist. And finally, welcome to Pers, the down at heel but pleasant receptionist of an ex-brothel now cheap hotel. Together they realise that giving and receiving are a balance; a lot of receiving and a little giving. The book is about their money making schemes, which don't always go quite as intended....
