The biggest issue with Mörder Anders und seine Freunde nebst dem einen oder anderen Feind is that the main characters never really face any real consequences. Conflicts arise but are quickly resolved in their favor, making everything feel too easy. The story starts off strong with a humorous and engaging premise, but once they settle into the church and hotel, it loses momentum. The potential for exploring how different people react to Mörder Anders' teachings was wasted. Instead, the plot takes an increasingly absurd turn, culminating in an over-the-top finale that feels more like a lucky streak than a well-earned resolution. The duo's constant agreement with each other also felt unrealistic. The book had great ideas, but in the end, it never fully delivered on its potential.

A lighthearted book with characters that are easy to love despite all their wrongdoings. I have read this and the other books by Jonas Jonasson many times - they never get old!
