I have now realized that these books are great for airplanes/vacation. Not much to them but they’re super fast paced

I was expecting this book to be very similar to the first in the series and I was correct about that. It had some mystery but we knew that Russ was involved in fraud from the very beginning. This book didn’t answer Any questions about the helicopter crash itself, it was more involved in the characters lives. I am excited to read the next book to see what happens with Irene and the boys after the villa was taken by the FBI.

Part 2 of this trilogy - lots of story lines, still enjoying the characters and can’t wait to finish the series

I think final scene in the first book and the first few scenes of this book made me think the sequel would finally delve into the mystery embedded in this story, but it did not. This continued to explore the lives and personal drama of the characters, but everyone felt like cardboard and none of their reactions to ANYTHING felt real. The first book did a better job of developing the emotional process of the characters and even stringing you along in the mystery, but this book just felt like a tribute to fishing in the Virgin Islands? I was half way through when I realized the book was really going nowhere and I finished it out of spite for wasting my time to begin with.
