Like book 3, a little too much attention paid to a few annoying details: the phrase "the discount store" and Fidelia's gun obsession. Had a few interesting scenes but should have been better.

The first of this series that I've read. I ordered the first 3 books today, so that says something. Good mindless, somewhat predictable, fun entertainment. I couldn't put it down, because I really wanted to know what would happen but was a little disappointed with the ending. It could have been 100 pages shorter with out all the indecision and second guessing of Heather.

I loved it, this book make me realized that I'm gonna die single because there's no warrior for me and I need a man like Jean-Luc... or Robby, or Ian... God, I'm dying to read the next one. Ian, I'm coming for you!

^^read it
Thing to add- Jean has a hard name to freaking pronounce! I think it's supposed to be like John-Luke, but the J is soft.

Jean luc....I'm pleased to say there are a few star trek references in this book. I'm not sure if that is is why I liked this one the most so far.
or maybe it was the way he went after heather.
Jean luc is a famous Fashion designer, straight from Paris opening a store in ...Texas? wait! what? you might be asking yourself why Texas...don't worry I was too. well he has to hide out as questions are being raised about his appearance. being vampire doesn't help so he agrees to go underground for 25 years and re emerge as his own son( that's the plan anyway).
Heather is in her heart a fashion designer. so when she accompanies her friend to a dinner party and she can't pass this opportunity up...as well as steal a few munchies while she can. while her friend is off trying to improve her career( I say that nicely, but seriously she was only screwing the stage manager to get some more time on the catwalk....its all explained in the book)
she see the dresses and inspiration hit her grabbing a napkin she sets about changing the design to suit her shapely figure.
Jean Luc see this and immediately goes over to call the Spy out. once the misunderstanding is cleared up he decides he likes her and thinks of a way to keep her around.
well you can gather what comes next....but not really. this is where you have to have read at least a couple of the books to know who people are, as there is another story that comes in( and is kinda a prelude to the next book).

Sad I had to DNF this - I got to 90% and I couldn't finish it.
