Wicked Hour by Chloe Neill
5.0
This sequel, in Chloe Neill’s Heirs of Chicagoland series, has Elisa and Connor traveling to Minnesota where they deal with a shifter community split between pretending to be human or outting themselves as supernaturals. Connor is not only there to support his pack, but to continue growing his skills to follow his dream of becoming Apex. Elisa came with Connor to see where their budding relationship is going, as well as to use her detective skills to help solve crimes happening in the shifter community.
I love Elisa and Connor’s relationship. Connor is so confident in that he wants to be with Elisa and she is torn between enjoying the present and thinking about the future. The mayhem that ensues due to the abnormal shifter attacks and sighting keeps you on your toes trying to figure out who in the pack it could be and how are they keeping it a secret. The pace and dialogue are well written. The ability to connect real-life struggles and have them be explored through a supernatural lens is wonderful. I had a hard time setting this book down, like all the other Chloe Neill books I’ve read.
I absolutely love the world and characters of Chloe Neill and Wicked Hour did not disappoint. I can’t wait to see what Elisa and Connor to do next. I give Wicked Hour five out of five stars!
